Christians have used the practice of Advent as a time to focus on the real reason for the holiday season. The birth of Jesus. Jesus is the Messianic King from the line of David and the fulfillment of all the prophecies and promises. He has finally arrived. However, in the busyness of the season, it is easy to focus on decorations, shopping, presents, traveling, and anything but Jesus.
